Tip -- Domain Macro Support
Available in Version 3.5 r1 and higher
The problem
I need to apply directives to certain domains and not globally. Specifically, I want to apply GoodMail's Certified Email tokens to only those domains that accept the tokens.
The solution
PowerMTA supports Domain Macros which allow you to specify certain domains and apply directives to only those domains through simple and straightforward macro commands.
By specifying the desired domains in macros, you can group domains together where appropriate and even re-use them for other purposes. For example, AOL domains (aol.com, aim.com, aol.fr, aol.de, etc.) are in the domain-macro "aol" while Yahoo! domains are in the domain-macro "yahoo." Those two domain-macros are then nested in the domain-macro "allgmisps."
The macro "allgmisps" is referenced in the configuration file. The "aol" or "yahoo" macros can be used for other purposes should domain-specific configurations be needed.
For more details and an example of the configuration, registered users can go to the PowerMTA User Forum.
